The Treptower Park has its very own charm. Generously laid out meadows and large groups of trees attract countless people, especially during the summer weekends.
There are several playgrounds, a large fountain, which is often used as a “pool”, a rose garden, near which there is a larger goldfish pond that is very popular with children. Herons are a common sight here. Head a little further east to see the beautifully planted summer flower garden and the world playground.
Opposite Liebesinsel, near the Plänterwald forest, there is a boat rental service (pedal boats, rowing boats and canoes).
On the Spree side of the park the Berlin shipping company Stern und Kreisschifffahrt has a landing stage. Various boat trips depart from there. Tickets as well as snacks and drinks are available at the sales point. Ice cream is also available here.
A picturesquely situated carp pond is situated in the southern part of the park. It’s a great destination for families.
