The Bökhstraße in Kreuzberg’s Graefekiez transforms into a temporary play street every Wednesday since summer 2019.
From April 1st to September 30th, Bökhstraße will be closed to car traffic from 2pm to 6pm between Graefestraße and Grimmstraße.
Residents from the neighborhood as well as various initiatives and institutions enrich the street every Wednesday with great hands-on activities and provide play equipment, chalk and other material for the children.
The mobile youth art school Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg is on site with creative offers, neighbors water the trees together with the children on dry summer days, people paint, crawl and play football.
The Stadtteilmütter (“District Mothers”) in Kreuzberg are also on site every Wednesday, introduce themselves and their diverse support and advice offers and bring lots of sport and game ideas as well as the necessary equipment such as soft balls and swing cloths.
