In and around Görlitzer Park, it just never gets boring. The former railway station area not only offers a great mix of sunny and shady green spaces, playgrounds, sports fields and viewing hills, but also an over 30 years old children’s farm where sheep, chicken, geese, goats, rabbits, ponies and donkeys live and are cared for.
During opening hours, children can get in close contact with the animals on the small premises, watch the action from the swing or simply explore the grounds. There is a soccer field, a toddler area with sandbox and playground equipment and a water playground in summer. A self-built climbing course made of wood can be found behind the football field.
There is also a children’s kitchen (and great cooking classes) in the communal house and an outdoor area with fireplace and garden. The Kinderbauernhof auf dem Görlitzer e. V. (Website in German only) regularly hosts and organises parties, activities and holiday programmes.
