The Alter Park in Tempelhof was created at the beginning of the 20th century as a community park on a previously unused area.
The heart of the park is the Klarensee, over which a small bridge leads.
There are meadows around the lake, where you can romp and play. The lake can be comfortably circumnavigated, there are benches in many places. The old trees in the park provide sufficient shade in summer.
The Alte Park is only a stone’s throw away from the Tempelhof Citizens’ Registration Office and is located between the Kaiserin-Augusta-Straße underground stations (U6, elevator available) and Alt-Tempelhof (U6).
You can combine your visit to Alter Park with excursions and walks in the adjacent Lehnepark and the Bose Park, which has an attractive playground with water and climbing elements.
